HOUSEBOAT Inorganic Metal Repair & Anti-Corrosion Coating
HOUSEBOAT HB6063-MR is a one-component, ambient air-drying inorganic composite coating developed for the repair and long-term protection of architectural metal surfaces.
The primer-free coating is suitable for aluminium curtain walls, aluminium alloy façades and outdoor stainless-steel decorative panels. It combines strong adhesion, salt-spray resistance, UV and humidity resistance, weather durability and wide-temperature stability from -18℃ to 220℃.
HB6063-MR is designed for refurbishment and protective maintenance of high-rise, coastal and other exposed architectural metal components.
Primer-Free One-Component Anti-Corrosion System
No anti-corrosion primer is required. The one-component, ambient air-drying system forms a stable protective film at an approximate dry-film thickness of 90 μm.
The optimised formulation provides salt-spray resistance of up to 1,440 hours, representing a high level of anti-corrosion performance among one-component ambient-curing coating systems.
Superior Adhesion to Metal Substrates
Formulated for challenging metal substrates including aluminium sheet, aluminium alloy and stainless steel, the coating achieves Cross-Cut Classification 0.
Its strong interfacial adhesion helps minimise delamination, peeling and hollowing during long-term service.
Wide-Temperature Stability for Exterior Metal Applications
The coating is suitable for a wide operating temperature range from -18℃ to 220℃ and can withstand long-term exposure at 220℃.
This wide-temperature stability supports exterior metal applications exposed to intense sunlight, day-night temperature fluctuations and seasonal thermal cycling.
Flexible Crack-Resistant Film for Metal Thermal Cycling
The high-toughness inorganic composite formulation is designed to accommodate the thermal expansion and contraction of aluminium alloy curtain walls.
The coating withstands repeated bending at a radius below 6 mm, helping reduce cracking, flaking and film breakage during thermal cycling and substrate movement.
Ambient Air-Drying for Efficient Façade Refurbishment
The one-component inorganic system requires neither a separate hardener nor high-temperature baking. It dries and forms a protective film under ambient conditions.
Its straightforward application is suitable for high-rise buildings, large-area curtain walls and outdoor architectural metal refurbishment, supporting shorter project cycles and improved site adaptability.
Outdoor Weather Durability for Long-Term Protection
The coating provides resistance to UV exposure, alkali attack and ageing. It is designed to withstand coastal salt mist, high humidity, intense sunlight and rain erosion.
When properly applied and maintained, the coating helps reduce the risk of chalking, discoloration and peeling, supporting the long-term outdoor durability of aluminium curtain walls and stainless-steel decorative panels.

HB6063-MR is designed as more than a decorative recoating product. Its formulation addresses the key protection requirements of architectural metal façades, including adhesion, thermal stability, salt-spray resistance and accommodation of thermal movement.
The coating forms a stable bond with aluminium sheet, aluminium alloy and stainless-steel substrates, providing long-term repair and anti-corrosion protection for exposed architectural metal surfaces.

Primer-Free Application for Efficient Metal Refurbishment
HB6063-MR is a one-component inorganic metal repair and anti-corrosion coating. The supplied product information specifies that no anti-corrosion primer is required.
Based on the current material-consumption data, HB6063-MR-T02 is applied in two coats at approximately 45 μm per coat, with a recommended total dry-film thickness of not less than 90 μm.
Material Consumption Notes
Recommended total dry-film thickness: ≥90 μm.
Application Conditions and Drying Time
Apply at an ambient temperature between 5℃ and 35℃, with relative humidity below 85%.
Suitable application methods include brush, roller and airless spray.
-
Surface dry: approximately 0.5 hour
-
Hard dry: approximately 4 hours
-
Recoat interval: approximately 4 hours
Actual drying time depends on substrate condition, surface preparation, temperature, humidity, ventilation and coating thickness.
