HB9500-RC Radiative Cooling Coating | Global‑Oriented Passive Radiative Cooling Solution for Industrial Applications
Under intense solar exposure, building roofs, industrial facilities, storage tanks and outdoor equipment continuously absorb solar radiation and accumulate heat. This increases surface temperatures and places additional cooling loads on indoor air-conditioning and equipment thermal-management systems.
Huabao HB9500-RC Radiative Cooling Paint is developed based on advanced materials science and thermal radiation mechanisms. By integrating high-efficiency solar reflectance with mid-infrared thermal radiation technology, it significantly reduces solar heat absorption on coated surfaces while effectively dissipating accumulated heat through the atmospheric window via radiant emission. This provides an energy-efficient, environmentally sustainable, and long-lasting thermal management solution for a wide range of applications, including buildings, industrial facilities, cold-chain logistics, and data centers.

From Solar Reflection to Thermal Emission
Conventional low-reflectance roofs tend to absorb solar energy and transfer heat into the building envelope or equipment surface. HB9500-RC reduces solar heat gain through high total solar reflectance while emitting thermal energy to the external environment through mid-infrared radiation.
This is a passive thermal-management technology that does not require additional electrical power to operate. The coating itself requires no compressor, fan or mechanical refrigeration system, and can continuously support surface cooling under suitable sky conditions.
Under favorable conditions such as clear skies, low humidity and unobstructed sky exposure, the coating radiates thermal energy through the 8-13 μm atmospheric window, helping reduce the coated surface temperature.

Supporting Long-Term Thermal Management
For roofs, tanks and equipment enclosures exposed to intense solar radiation, a coating can serve not only as a protective surface, but also as part of the thermal-management strategy of a building or industrial facility.
Under standard clear-sky conditions, the surface-temperature difference before and after application can reach 25-35℃, while the difference in air-conditioning electricity consumption can reach up to 35%. Actual performance depends on substrate color, ambient temperature, solar intensity, sky-view exposure, applied film thickness, maintenance condition and other factors.
